BASES R&D: Driven by Client Needs |
||
|
BASES focuses its R&D efforts on real client needs. For example, a budding trend in consumer package goods marketing is cooperative stocking arrangements, in which retailers and manufacturers work together to understand the movement of products off the shelf and the resulting inventory requirements. Retailers essentially allow the manufacturers to take responsibility for stocking stores and, in theory, pipeline inventory is minimized and distribution issues resolved more efficiently for all concerned. The key question, then, is this one: How can manufacturers predict how much of their new products will be sold in sufficient detail to ensure adequate (but not excessive) inventory levels? BASES Model Development group was ready for the question. The mission of this group is to continually enhance and refine our models, integrating the latest developments in technology and keeping our clients future needs in focus so we have what they need when the future arrives. Their latest enhancement of our global model uses a totally new approach to deliver the industrys most accurate estimate of 4-week sales which is exactly what our clients will be needing to take advantage of this new industry trend. |
